Description
Barnsley and Rotherham are jointly to procure a New Pan Pathology Managed Service Contract (MSC) as they share Pathology service across the two hospital sites. Our current MSC contract ends 31st March 2018.
A Bidder is sought to provide a Full Pan Pathology MSC to Barnsley and Rotherham Hospitals Trust's. The Contract duration will be from 11 -14 years with full system refresh within the life of the contract determined by both Barnsley & Rotherham Hospital Trust's.
Barnsley Hospital will facilitate the procurement and host the contractual arrangements.
Barnsley and Rotherham Hospitals intends to procure a contract with a strategic partner for the provision of Pan Pathology services in the areas of Clinical Microbiology, Haematology & Blood Transfusion, Clinical Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Pathology, Coagulation and Infectious Disease Serology.
This is to include, but is not limited to, the provision of a Pan Pathology Managed Laboratory Service, laboratory equipment, design build and finance the reconfiguration of existing laboratory space on both existing sites, maintenance and servicing and all other associated consumables, chemicals, reagents, auxiliary goods and equipment in addition to training, associated services, connectivity and installation. In addition Pathology analytical / business intelligence will be required and integrated on both sites.
Any associated IT hardware and software will be included in the contract.
Important Information - Pan Pathology MSC Procurement Supplier Briefing day
The Trusts strongly recommends that all Potential Suppliers / Bidders both LSP and third party take the opportunity to attend the Pan Pathology Supplier Briefing day for an overview of our current Pathology service and further details on the Procurement process.
It is anticipated that the successful LSP bidder will be required to work with a number of third party suppliers to fulfil the Pan Pathology Managed Service Contract (MSC).
The Supplier Briefing day will take place on 14th March 2017 @ 10am at the Education Centre in Lecture Theatre 1 @ Barnsley Hospital.
All Potential Suppliers / Bidders will need to register an expression of interest in attending the Supplier Briefing day.
