Description
Northern Industrial Link Road (NILR) Detailed Design is one of five schemes in the Northen Industrial Link Road project (NILR).
This scheme aims at re-routing traffic from the town centre by linking two adjoining traffic routes - Hundred Road and Longhill Road which are currently separated via a small strip of private land. The scheme will provide an integrated 1.9km traffic route by upgrading Hundred Road to a two-way carriageway and connecting it to the existing two-way carriageway on Longhill Road. The scheme will also provide a full-length cycle way across the route on Hundred Road. The junction of Longhill Road and Elm Road (B1101) will also be upgraded to a roundabout
