Description

The scope of this contract is to appoint a watersports operator who will:

Ensure the delivery of a vibrant watersports offer.
Increase participation rates through watersports, particularly with young people.
Increase levels of physical activity, improve mental wellbeing through an accessible activity programme.

Provide a pathway of opportunity for people to become volunteers, whilst providing them with the life skills to develop.

Actively engage in the delivery of a strong schools programme, which should include:
• Team building
• Environmental Awareness.
• Water safety
• Leadership
• New skills
• Fun

Engage with hard to reach groups and ensure a low cost accessible offer is available.

Work with the Councils Sport & Health Improvement Service in delivering health improvement initiatives and events, throughout the course of the contract.

Ensure a full watersports programme can be delivered throughout the school holidays.

Ensure all licences and legal obligations are obtained and adhered to.

Ensuring a high standard of Health & Safety management is embedded into the sites processes, procedures and activities, whilst also adhering to relevant National Governing Body requirements.

A commitment to excellent customer care and service.

Develop strong and affective working relationships with Pugney's staff and Wakefield Council's Sports & Health Improvement Team.

Ensuring a commitment to work with current clubs and groups and volunteers accessing the site.
