Description

The Graphene Application Innovation Centre at the Centre for Process Innovation has the need to analyse materials (including graphene and other 2D materials, nano-scale material, pharmaceutical, life science and electronic) using Raman spectroscopy to provide key information regarding chemical composition and material structure. The addition of a motorised fully confocal microscope system to the Raman spectrometer will allow for ultra-fast confocal Raman mapping of samples on both a micro and macro scale thus significantly increasing the capability of the centre in this area. Current research areas require the instrument to be capable of the measurement of ultra-low frequency spectral data allowing greater resolution of spectra
