Description

This exercise is suitable for SME and VCSE Organisations despite what it says above.West Lancashire Borough Council currently provides around £136,000 of funding per year to voluntary organisations across the Borough. The Council is keen to maximise the community benefit for every pound awarded, and with this in mind has embarked upon a detailed review of how grant funding is dispensed, ranging from the overarching strategy and work streams to detailed work on the processes of provider selection and monitoring of outcomes.
To assist with this review, interested voluntary organisations are invited to a meeting where the Council will present our vision and plans, and invite comment and discussion around the table to enable voluntary organisations to contribute to our understanding of the issues they face in responding to commissioning initiatives, and to help shape the way forward.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at our Ormskirk site 52 Derby Street , Ormskirk, Lancashire L39 2DF. at 10 am on Monday 13 May 2019, and will last for around 1 hour 30 minutes. Please pre-book your attendance by contacting Susan Griffiths at Susan.Griffiths@westlancs.gov.uk or telephone 01695 585097 .
We look forward to meeting you and hearing your views.
