Description

The Service Provider will have an excellent knowledge of what makes for successful collaborations between charities and other organisations, and the role of funders in supporting these.

The Service Provider will work full time (37 hours per week) at The Fund, initially on a five month contract, with the option to extend up to an additional 3 months, and will lead on;

Developing our approach to collaborating with other funders effectively, including ensuring we understand our priorities for collaboration with others and different ways in which we can collaborate, have the right governance and resourcing in place to develop and agree collaborations, develop the skills that we need to manage collaborations effectively, and raise awareness amongst other funders of the opportunity to work more closely with us.

Developing our collaborative funding offer, enabling us to offer funding and support to place-based and thematic collaborations. This will include further development work on the aims and outcomes of this product, how it fits with the rest of our portfolio and our UK funding, the process for receiving, assessing and making decisions on ideas for collaborations, and working with the communications and local teams to raise awareness of this product.

Supporting and developing our staff, ensuring that they can develop the skills and knowledge to make effective judgements when assessing, recommending decisions and managing collaborations.

The Contract is for an initial term of 5 months with an option to extend for up to 3months at the maximum. However, BIG will expect to receive bids for completion of the work in 5months.
