Description

We require specialist support for three interrelated strands of work, namely the identification and sourcing of audiences for engagement with us, support via targeted training of Historic England staff and facilitation of three workshops to help achieve a key corporate aim for wider stakeholder and public engagement.

We are currently developing a new Strategy for the National Heritage List for England (NHLE). As part of the consultative approach we have adopted for this work, we have reached out to various stakeholder interests to inform thinking. However, to optimise the benefits of this approach we need to engage more widely and seek views from those who do not necessarily; consider themselves to be stakeholders. Crucially, we want to know what historic buildings and places the wider public would like to see remain and to benefit from any steer on their perception of priorities. This is to help determine what special historic interests are missing from the NHLE and so assist the shaping and planning of consequent actions.
