Description

Doncaster East Internal Drainage Board is inviting quotations for a qualified and experienced consultant to provide project management support services for the Thorne Moors project. The Doncaster East Internal Drainage Board ("IDB") works with other public bodies to provide a public service by managing water levels for the overall benefit of people, property, commerce, industry, agriculture and the environment within their defined drainage district. Thorne Moors Crowle and Goole Moors form the largest lowland raised mire in England and is located to the North East of Thorne, Doncaster. The IDB are working predominantly outside of the District in partnership with Natural England who are responsible for the management of Thorne Moors to assist in returning the SSSI into favourable condition. Doncaster East IDB are the "Client", Natural England will become the operators of the site upon completion of the works and the project is being funded by Environment Agency grant in aid. A Steering Group has been established to oversee and agree all works on the site. The Steering Group consists of representatives from The DEIDB, Natural England, North Lincolnshire Council, Environment Agency and reports to the Client. These additional services and works are as a direct result of an underspend on the overall project as approved. Please be advised that this quotation process is being managed on behalf of Doncaster East Internal Drainage Board by North Lincolnshire Council who is acting as procurement agent.
