Description

MAG Airport Ltd are looking to procure an end-to-end security solution to screen passenger and staff cabin baggage. The solution must consist of a fully integrated Automated Tray Return System (ATRS), EDS C3 Computed Tomography Scanner (CT) and Central Image Processing System (CIP), approved to all current ECAC and DfT standards.
MAG will be looking to install between 57 and 100 systems across 3 sites, Manchester, Stansted, and East Midlands Airports.
The solution must be provided by a single lead bidding organisation, who will be solely responsible for installation, integration, commissioning, and on-going maintenance over 8 years.
The lead bidder may submit a single bid consisting of one solution i.e., one ATRS system, one CT machine and one CIP system. The bidder must demonstrate proven integration of the tendered solution.
There is no restriction on manufacturer's equipment featuring in more than one bid.
The final stage of the tender process will include a Proof of Concept (PoC) Trial with a single preferred bidder (estimated to commence August 2022). The trial will require the bidder to install two full systems in parallel (ATRS, CT & CIP) at Stansted Airport for a trial period of approximately 2 months. The PoC Trial will be used to validate that the preferred bidder's solution meets MAG's technical requirements and matches the bidders tendered performance characteristics. The ability of bidder to have two systems available and installed within approximately 12 weeks of being instructed (estimated to be May 2022) will be a pass/fail criteria of pre-qualification.
