Dear potential supplier
RE: Preliminary market consultation: Student E-Portfolio System, ref ITS073LTU.
Introduction
Leeds Trinity University (a small university) with approximately 7,700 students, is embarking on a project to select and implement a student e-portfolio system.
We are seeking preliminary market information from solution providers, with a view to assessing, based on this, the appropriate specification, costs, and procurement routes.
High Level Requirements
• An engaging, easy to navigate platform for our students and personal tutors to use.
• Enables students to upload evidence of their graduate skills and attributes.
• Allows a range of media to be uploaded as evidence, including both written documents and audio/video recordings.
• Allows the evidence to be grouped into different categories e.g., Leadership, Communication, Problem Solving
• Displays indicators of a student's progress within each skill and attribute category.
• Allows personal tutors to access the platform and view their student's progress.
• Provides a channel for personal tutors to communicate with their students.
• Includes a reporting function that provides insights on engagement and personal tutoring data, which can be used for internal or external reporting.
• Ability to integrate with student records systems (e.g., SITS)

Next steps
We will collate expressions of interest and review content. Dependant on the number and scope offered by respondents, we envisage inviting providers of a cross section of solutions to participate in a more detailed consultation, perhaps to include demonstrations.
