Description

AWARDED Stevenage Borough Council is looking for competent contractors to tender for the refurbishment/enhancement of the 5th floor office area within the main Council Offices at Daneshill House. The building comprises six floors and will continue to be fully occupied during the remodelling work. The Work will be divided into two phases, the occupants of phase 2 being moved into the Phase 1 area on completion of Phase 1.

Outline scope of works - Removal/adaptation of sections of existing ceilings & partitions, doors & associated ceiling and floor finishes. Removal/adaptation of existing services including electrical and ventilation equipment. Supply, installation and connection of new wall & floor electrical services. Removal of existing comfort cooling arrangements and installation of new cooling units to Phase 1. Extra-over price for removal of existing and installation of new cooling to Phase 2. Installation of new glazed partitions and doorsets. Installation of new acoustic plasterboard ceiling and indirect and LED lighting. Areas of replacement and of repair & adaptation of existing modular ceilings. Replacement of floor finishes. Redecoration throughout. Installation of new kitchenette facilities.

Site visits are mandatory.

Tenders received from contractors who have not been recorded as having attended a site visit will be rejected. Visits must be requested by the contractor by correspondence through the InTend system. Visits will be during scheduled time-slots arranged by the Council during the timetabled date range in section 1.10.1. Tenderers to note that more than one bidding organisation may be present at any time slot arranged.
