Description

Tender for the All Metal Vacuum Gate Valves for the ESS

DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER
CLOSING DATE 14:00 GMT ON 16/03/2018

Twelve all metal gate valves are required for the UK's in-kind contribution to the ESS accelerator project. The size breakdown is as follows:
a) DN100 - 7 off
b) DN160 - 4 off
c) DN200 - 1 off

Given these valves will go into the radiation environment of the ESS accelerator, ESS have stated these valves must have specific requirements they must meet and the manufacturer must comply with the following requirements:

1) The gate valves must be ALL metal including the sealing mechanism
2) Valve must have a double acting extended pneumatic actuator
3) Valve must have a double position indicator, 2 switches for each position - open and closed
4) The pneumatic actuator must be radiation resistant to a level of 106 Gy
5) The valve body must be radiation resistant to a level of 108 Gy
6) The solenoid required for operation of the actuator must be remote mountable so it avoids radiation damage

Bids over £170k will be deemed non-compliant.
