Description

South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced company to provide Small Works & Repair services to Facilities managed sites. These small works and repair services include, but may not be limited to, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting & Decorating and General Building and Roofing Repairs. Facilities currently managed below sites, but the tender requirements may require any future sites which SCDC purchase that will be managed by the Facilities Department.

• South Cambridgeshire Hall - Cambourne Business Park, Cambourne, CB23 6EA
• Over Hub - Flat 13 Elm Court, off Dring Close, Over, CB24 5SB
• Great Shelford Hub - 10 Chaston Road, Acacia Court, Great Shelford, CB22 5AP
The requirements of this tender are to provide the Facilities Department at SCDC with the specified services on an adhoc/as required basis. With this in mind we require standardised costing for hourly rate labour charges (to include all supervision costs) within office working hours (Monday-Friday - 08:00 - 17:00), out of hours and weekend working, emergency call out charges to include response times (i.e. same day, 24 hours etc) for each specified package of works. All parts and material charges should be quoted ideally using a 'Cost-Plus' pricing strategy to provide competitive and reasonable overall costings.

• Electrical - Repairs, Installations and reactive call outs
• Plumbing - Repairs, Installations and reactive call outs
• Carpentry (to include Locksmith i.e. Replacement locks, etc) - Repairs and Adhoc Works
• Painting & Decorating - Repairs and Adhoc Works
• Building and Roofing Repairs - Repairs, Installations and Adhoc Works

This contract is for the initial 2-year term (with the option to extend for a further 2 years, at the discretion of SCDC) to carry out the services required in this ITT. SCDC reserve the right to carry out comparable works for the same subject matter at the discretion of the Council. The quotation for the additional works must run in line with the quotation supplied for the works specified in the main ITT. Please note that due to the nature of the contract no volume or value can be guaranteed and the contract value can be extended up to the WTO threshold throughout the total term.
