Description
Farthinghoe Reuse and Recycling Centre opened in 2002 by the former South Northamptonshire Council. The centre is unique from the other Household Waste Recycling Centres run by the former Northamptonshire County Council in that it can only accept waste for recycling or reuse and not for disposal. The centre is currently open 7 days a week, 9am-5pm accepting a range of materials and goods. The reuse shop is housed in a former grain silo and the current operator is responsible for the sale of all second hand goods on site. This includes pricing and accepting payment.
The current contract has ended so we are seeking a new supplier to run the centre in the same way or will consider options for the acceptance of the waste to be a separate arrangement to the reuse shop.
Lot 1 = management of the site,
Lot 2 = running of the reuse shop.
We are welcoming the interest of charities in running the Reuse shop.
Please contact procurement@westnorthants.gov.uk FAO Jodie Niblett to register your interest and further information will be sent.
