Description

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is responsible for the response to, and recovery from, earthquakes in the UK.

Advice is to be provided by the British Geological Survey (BGS) which, through its Seismic Monitoring and Information Service, provides notifications of earthquakes. It also offers advice to help assess the future risk of earthquakes to inform the Government's risk assessment process.
