Description

The Domestic Abuse Cyber Stalking & Harassment (DASCSH) Pilot is a project funded by the Home Office VAWG Transformation Fund. The project has revolved around the development of a small team of experts (in IT, domestic abuse investigation and victim support) tasked with developing ways to best evidence, investigate and prosecute cyber-enabled stalking and to safeguard its victims.

The pilot began in January 2018 and will run until June 2019. It has been developed on the assumption that sustainability can be best achieved through short-term developments - such as the creation of a discrete pilot - and longer term interventions - such as officer training and information for specialist services - that create sustainable change in attitudes, knowledge and working practice.

With this in mind, an initial training package was developed and delivered to approximately six hundred 24/7 officers in the early weeks of the pilot and focused on raising awareness of the team and its work.
