The University is seeking to put in place a 3 year contract, with the option to extend for 2 further one year periods, for the Supply, Fit and Maintenance of an IP HD CCTV system on a single integrated Video Management System (VMS).
This contract will require the integration and upgrade of the University's existing IP CCTV equipment and the replacement of obsolete equipment, whilst transferring the CCTV estate to an IP HD CCTV system that produces images of evidential quality.
The University requires all cameras to be on a single integrated Video Management System (VMS). Where possible, existing equipment should be utilised, although it is accepted that some of the very old hardware will need upgrading to enable compatibility with the new system.
The installation and operation of a single integrated Video Management System (VMS) will be located within a bespoke Control Room (CR) facility in the Student Services Building. Operations staff in the CR must be able to monitor, view, control, review and download all cameras on the campus, as necessary.
The Contractor (acting as an Integrator) must confirm that they are recognised and accredited with the provider of the VMS equipment. The University expects the VMS provider to be fully engaged in the provision of the required solution.
