Description

It has been recommended that some funding should be made available to provide additional targeted and intensive work with a small number of women with complex needs in the city. There is a current need to provide intensive support for women who have particularly complex needs and need support to help them stabilise their lives. Complex needs among these clients requires focussed, co-ordinated and directed personal intervention plans, supporting women to take steps towards addressing these complex needs and to ensure there are options available to enable them to make informed choices. A Direct Award of contract will be made to BASIS Yorkshire, an organisation which provides support to women involved in sex working, living and/or working in Leeds (female and trans, indoor or on the street) to fund an Intensive Support Service. Leeds City Council already has close contacts with this organisation and also currently funds other contracts with them. The Contract will run for one year, with an expected start date of January 2018.
