Description
Worcester City Council ["The Authority"] is inviting Tenders for the provision of Security Services according to the details
within this Specification.
The Authority has a number of premises within Worcester City that require ongoing Security Services:
• The Guildhall
• 4 Copenhagen Street
• St Martins Gate Car Park
• St Martins Gate Office
• Warndon Depot
• Astwood Cemetery and Crematorium
• St Johns Cemetery
• Perdiswell Depot
• Perdiswell Leisure Centre Access Drive
• Gheluvelt Park & Sons of Rest Building
• Housing Advice Centre
• Toilet Pods based at;
a. Cripplegate Park (x2)
b. Croft Road (x1)
c. Angel Place (x1)
d. Gheluvelt Park (x5)
e. Cornmarket Car Park (x5)
• Cripplegate Park - Tool sheds and mess room in the depot yard
• King George V Playing Fields
• The Commandery and Gardens
• 8 Angel Street
• 8-9 Crown Passage
• 56 Foregate Street
All of these premises currently have Security Services provided by a Contractor.
Security Services currently provided on an ongoing basis include :
i. Patrols
ii. Opening Up and Locking Up
iii. Keyholder and Emergency Call Outs
The provision of Security Services for elections and static guarding and/or patrols for empty properties will be required on an ad hoc basis.
The duration of the Contract will be for Three years from the agreed Commencement Date of the Service and the Contract Price shall remain fixed for the duration of the contract. Subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor during the Term, the Authority may wish to extend the Agreement for a further period of up to two years. If the Council seeks to extend the Contract, the Council and the Contractor shall review and agree the fees for the Contract extension period before the extension commences.

The Council is using the e-procurement portal known as the Proactis Pro-Contract portal https://procontract.due-north.com to conduct this procurement exercise.

Once registered, bidders will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the procurement documents. Bidders will need to search for the invitation under Worcester City Council and then electronically submit an expression of interest and follow the online instructions to view the procurement documents
