Description

The Environment Agency (EA) is developing a series of new monitoring networks as part of the Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) project. One of these covers small streams and another covers Lakes.

The overarching focus is to undertake macrophyte surveys at 26 small stream sites in England and undertake lake macrophyte surveys (including 'lake naturalness assessments') at 42 sites in England. These surveys need to be completed by 30th September 2025.
