Description

The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), as the contracting authority, is tendering for the provision of vehicle workshop equipment cleaning for the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Discreet and Specialist Fleet Services.
Discreet and Specialist Fleet Services is responsible for a discreet and specialised vehicle fleet of approximately 1400 vehicles, including Cars, Vans, LGV's, HGV's, Equipment carriers, Motorcycles, Armoured Vehicles and Marine Vessels. Discreet and Specialist Fleet Services provide vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair of this fleet, ensuring the delivery of the required levels of asset availability.
The scope of this requirement includes chemical cleaning and environmental solutions for our repair and maintenance facilities. The two key aspect are;

a. Provision of a fully supported and maintained parts cleaning solution with an emphasis on detergents that are not classed as hazardous
b. Full regulatory compliance for environmental and waste regulations

This requirement will support Frontline Operational Policing via equipment and services that help maintain vehicle parts and workshop equipment, to ensure the MPS meet its legal obligation to ensure the safety of its employees, drivers and other road users.
The Successful Contractor will be required to provide services at workshops located in Belvedere and Wapping upon commencement of the contract (1st August 2020). There may be a requirement at other locations throughout the MPS district.
The Successful Contractor will be required to be flexible in relation to service delivery and work closely with the MPS in achieving the correct frequency of services.
The scope of the contract also covers any other service or product the provider offers that would benefit the workshop operations.
