Description

NHS England health and justice commissioning (The Authority) is committed to integrating what patients think and have to say about the care they receive, as a North Midlands Commissioning team we commission across healthcare services across: Prisons, SARCS, Immigration Removal Centre, Children's Secure Homes and Secure Training Centres

In order that we hear the patients voice in all of these settings the Authority needs to collaborate with an external organisation to facilitate and enable dialogue. We aim to embed what patients tell us into all NHS England's Health and Justice Commissioning and Procurement processes locally, as well as our approach to the NHS Consultation and the Five Year Forward View.

The Authority has over the last 12 months set up a Health and Justice Lived Experience Panel of people who have lived experience and understanding of health and justice healthcare services. The Panel has undertaken some fantastic work around engagement, ensuring the patient's voice is embedded into procurements, responding to consultations and many other pieces of work.

NHS England is now seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider to support the continuation and expansion of the Health and Justice Expert Panel over the next 3 years.
