Description

Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, acting on behalf of NHS England (Health & Justice, North Midlands) (i.e. the Commissioner) invites submissions from healthcare providers including third sector organisations, social enterprises and other providers to deliver an integrated paediatric sexual assault
service throughout the East Midlands region. The contract is for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years on an annual basis.

NHS England (North Midlands) wishes to commission an East Midlands regional clinical paediatric sexual assault service (SAS) for child or young person (up to the age of 18) who has been sexually assaulted or raped (both acute and non-acute cases). The
service will be delivered through the provision of an open access 24/7/365 managed clinical network, with delivery of care delivered at 2 named and accredited sexual assault service locations, supported by referral pathways into local age appropriate
services for support and follow-up care where these are needed. The East Midlands covers Derby & Derbyshire, Leicester & Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. A Sexual Assault Referral Centre is a
one stop location where female and male victims of any age, of rape and serious sexual assault can receive medical care. The Commissioner reserves the right to include Forensic Medical Examination provision by agreement with the Provider during the life of the contract.
