Description

Jubilee Primary School (JPS Maidstone) is a refurbished circa 1970s building that was bought by the Trust in 2014 (funding provided by the EFA). There have now been three phases of work at JPS and we are currently procuring the Phase Four works. These works will entail Demolition, Remodelling, Façade Repair, Playground Works and New Lift Installation and will be circa £550,000 in value.

Works are to be undertaken in an occupied building and any contractor / operative working during term time will require a full DBS Enhanced Check prior to being permitted on site to comply with the school's safeguarding policies.

The works include some enhancement of the building's external elevations (cladding, facias, guttering, etc, some windows), draining and removal of an existing fuel oil tank, playground and car park works, remodelling some classrooms (not all those shown), forming the necessary openings and installing a lift, alterations to plumbing and heating and electrics.
The building will be occupied throughout, but the contractor will be encouraged to use school closure periods effectively for noisy operations and those which may cause a disturbance to the school whilst in use.
