Description

Highcliffe Castle, on the Dorset coast, is a visitor attraction attracting 30,000 visitors a year.

The Castle was rendered derelict in the 1960's by fire and abandonment. Whilst externally restored in the 1990's with assistance and funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund there is an ongoing phased approach to the continued repair and conservation of the interior. The project focuses on the repair of the remaining ground floor and basement areas. This is important as it will give access to more of the heritage, including the servant's areas and original kitchen.

The objectives of the project are to:
- Improve the visitor experience
- Increase visitor numbers
- Increase turnover for the attraction.

We are looking for a single agency to deliver two elements of work, an Interpretation Specialist and Exhibition Designer.

The Interpretation Specialist/Exhibition Designer will be responsible for producing the following information/key documentation: -

1. Design Documentation: Exhibition and interpretative design plan and specifications for the permanent displays to RIBA L / Stage 7. This should also include allocation of space for temporary exhibitions.

2. Reports including monthly progress reports and reports for submission to funders including HLF

3. Input into the Management and Maintenance Plan

Tenderers must upload and submit Supplier Response Documents electronically via www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk Note that you must upload your documents and then submit your documents. If you upload your documents but fail to "Submit" them, the Authority will not receive them and they will not be considered during the evaluation stage.
