Description

Calderdale College is inviting training organisations of Construction training to deliver a skills development programme on behalf of the College, to employees of businesses and organisations across the Scarborough and East Coast area of the York and North Yorkshire Region.

Activities must complement and avoid duplication with broader provision, thereby adding value to Department for Work and Pensions/Big Lottery, Education and Skills Funding Agency, Local Authorities and National Careers Service. Successful Candidates will be required to ensure that ESF provision will clearly add value and not duplicate any provision that can be arranged locally through existing mainstream institutions.

Training Providers must be able to deliver Services immediately with effect from the contract start date and:
a. undertake a robust initial assessment of eligible participants;
b. deliver pre-apprenticeship training which must be either regulated units and qualifications on the Regulated Qualifications Framework or non-regulated bespoke packages of support; and
c. be able to support individuals into progression into Apprenticeships; and
d. offer locally tailored solutions and flexible delivery to meet the skills and Apprenticeship priorities of employers and employees in the Scarborough and East Coast region of MD (York and North Yorkshire) LEP Area
e. Ensure that they are fully resourced and staffed to perform their elements of the Services.

Training Providers must be able to demonstrate operational base and delivery locations within the MD Area throughout the Contract period and be able to provide Services to the whole of the MD Area with the main focus of delivery to employers in Scarborough and East Coast.
