Description

NNL's thermal and structural modelling area is a growing capability and plays an essential role in solving
complex problems throughout the nuclear industry. As part of this capability a computational fluid dynamics
software package capable of considering a range of physics is required. Having a robust multiphase and particle
dynamics modelling capability is key to answering future challenges of the nuclear industry that includes but
not limited to interim and long term fuel storage, post operational clear out (POCO), hydrogen flammability and
understanding the transport of solid particulates in and around plant systems and infrastructure.
