Description

Quotations are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from cycle training Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of Bikeability the Spen Valley Area in North Kirklees (the "Services").
Successful Suppliers shall be required to co-ordinate bookings, provide suitable equipment and safely deliver training to the National Standard for Cycle Training (Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training, PLUS Balance, Learn to Ride & Level 3 training) in schools across Kirklees. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training.
Bikeability aims to encourage more people to travel sustainably, increase the number of children being active on a daily basis and to reduce pedal cycle casualties. This contract is anticipated to commence on 1st April 2025 and will expire on 31st March 2026 with the provision to extend for two (2) further twelve month periods, up to a maximum of a further up to 31st March 2028, subject to the council being successful in receiving further grant funding from the Bikeability Trust.
