Funding body West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) has approved a Gateway One outline BusinessCase for Phase 1b of the A629 corridor strategy in Calderdale, which has released development funding toprogress towards scheme detailed design. The reconstruction of Calder and Hebble junction under Phase 1bincorporating a new highway link will require planning consent, which in turn will necessitate supporting siteinvestigation surveys to be undertaken together with a confirmed preliminary design and transport appraisal tofull WebTAG standard. The ultimate aim of this commission is to prepare a Gateway 2 full Business Case toWYCA for which the planning consent, modelling appraisal and design confirmation is a prerequisite.
