Description
Following from PIN notice 2015/S 056-097084 the Dorset Care Record Partnership is seeking tenders to establish a Framework Agreement with a suitable supplier to provide the supporting expertise, products and services to assist the Partnership in delivering a "Dorset Care Record". The Council will award a single supplier to the framework. Suppliers can express their interest in the project via the following e-procurement portal http://www.supplyingthesouthwest. org.uk . All documentation relating to this process will be hosted on the above e-procurement portal. New users will be required to register onto the system and clear instructions are given and a contact point available within the portal to provide supplier help. The Dorset Care Record is a joint project supported by all of the nine key partners in the County: National Health Service (NHS) Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG); The Five NHS Foundation Trusts; Dorset County Hospital; Poole Hospital; The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals; Dorset Health Care University, South Western Ambulance Service; And the three Local Authorities in Dorset; Dorset County Council (Lead Partner for the Project); Borough of Poole and Bournemouth Borough Council. The project seeks to create a common Health and Social care record to share data using established national standards that can be integrated with existing systems (across all core partner systems). This will enable the two way transaction and interrogation of that data and will provide access to Health and Care professionals via a flexible, configurable and user-centred front-end utilising modern, responsive and agile technical solutions. This will also enable the development of direct patient, carer and relative's access in line with national and local policy to facilitate patient access and control of their records. Shared records will support vital current developments for integrated working and the ambition ids to expand the availability of the system to allow other organisations to access the data and enable citizens to access their own health and care information, supporting the development of personalisation and co-production of Health and Care services. The Dorset Care Record is intended to push and pull data from all GP practices and Health care settings including Acute Mental Health and Community Services in the County, as well as Social Care (from both the Children's' and Adults' perspective). The goal is to create a combined record that can be looked at wherever a person is being treated. Benefits to be realised include reduced data entry for practitioners (Health and Care professionals), removal of paper to transfer information across agencies, and better access to information to improve service delivery and decision making across Dorset. The expectation is that these improvements will significantly reduce hospital admissions, expedite discharge and facilitate increased and better care in the home and/o...(cont)
