Description

A project to understand the reasons for large variability in methane concentration measurements in groundwater apparently resulting from different sampling and analysis techniques. It will identify best practices towards obtaining consistent and comparable measurements of methane in groundwater. This will help to improve methane monitoring in groundwater around OOG activities, improving confidence in comparisons of baseline/operations monitoring undertaken by different practitioners and therefore the effectiveness of environmental monitoring and associated regulation.
