Description
Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award. Please note that this is not a Tender opportunity, and that the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to the following providers - University of Manchester.
HEE are currently working to develop a suite of resources and materials to support this mandate. Including the development of a learning outcomes framework, case studies and a survey tool which will capture the learning that individuals gain from participation in overseas charitable and volunteering activity and other global health activity such as placements, virtual volunteering, and peer-to-peer support.
The survey tool builds on previous research which explored the professional development and learning that individuals gain from this kind of engagement where a team at Manchester University (MU) developed a validated psychometric pre and post survey to measure the learning that individuals gain from participation in overseas charitable and volunteering activity
Heath Education England [HEE] believe that the University of Manchester (MU) is the only suppliers with the requisite expertise and experience to provide HEE with this specialist expertise and knowledge. MU understands this work and can deliver the complete survey tool to the required timelines March 31, 2023
The financial envelope for the contract is £175,000
