Description

Quotations are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for Stepping Stones - a support service for people who have self harmed and or attempted suicide throughout Calderdale, Kirklees & Wakefield.

This contract is anticipated to commence on 1st April 2024 and will expire on 31st March 2026 with the provision to extend for up to a maximum of a further twenty four (24) month depending on success and further funding being available.

The anticipated value of the services being procured by the Council is approximately Two hundred and Nineteen Thousand Pounds (£219,000) per annum.

The Service is for adults (18 years and over) in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield (CKW) who have come to the attention of A&E, having self-harmed, attempted suicide.

The overall purpose of the Service is to contribute to the realisation of the Integrated Care System's 'Ten Ambitions'. One of these ambitions is to reduce suicide rates across West Yorkshire. The specification outlines the framework which will contribute to this reduction.

The provider will work across the whole system to ensure that all partners are aware of the Service offer and develop appropriate links with referring organisations and onward signposting organisations in each area. Awareness of existing local support offers will be key to ensure smooth and integrated support.

There will be flexibility within the Service to ensure adequate coverage across the CKW footprint (i.e. staff will be expected to work across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield as per need and demand)
