Description

1. Provide an independent evaluation through collating and analysing the responses to the NERC Doctoral Training Partnership surveys and interviews

• Collation and detailed analysis of survey responses
Complete collation and detailed analysis of over 700 responses to the DTP surveys. This should include relating all of the data to the success criteria, to individual DTPs, grouping respondents and translating the dataset into manageable information.

• Presentation of survey findings
Present the outputs in a format that can easily be digested.

• Collation, analysis and presentation of interview findings
Collate/analyse the outputs from interviews, then present preliminary data and interim findings in a format that can be translated into information/papers for the associated Advisory Board in December 2016. Produce a high level, public facing report that includes case studies and infographics, where appropriate.

2. Produce an independent report for NERC to take to the associated Advisory Board to discuss evaluation results and make recommendations for commissioning DTPs in the future

• Final data collation, analysis and report-writing
Once all of the DTP evaluation interviews have taken place, analyse the evaluation data as a whole, to provide feedback reports to individual DTPs and to document detailed overarching messages highlighted by the evaluation. Present suggested recommendations based on analysis, providing the evaluation and subsequent future design of the DTP commissioning process with important independence.

• Final report
Collect supporting information from wherever relevant to support the DTP evaluation, working closely with the Research Careers team. Produce a final report that NERC will use to discuss the evaluation results and suggested recommendations for commissioning DTPs in the future.
