Description

The University of Sheffield is looking to appoint a Jenbacher authorised service provider for a newly installed Jenbacher JMS 612 GS-N.L cogeneration unit in its new energy centre supplying the Western Bank Campus. This is for a multi-year (minimum 15 years) fully comprehensive maintenance contract encompassing preventative and corrective maintenance, parts, lube oil and expert field service technicians as detailed below:
- Planned maintenance (preventative) and unplanned repairs (corrective) including spare parts for such repairs. The parts must be genuine Jenbacher parts or equivalent (ideally parts approved by Jenbacher), including consumables, for the duration of the contract
- Include Minor overhaul (carried out on site)
- Include an annual availability guarantee of minimum 8,000 Operating Hours
- Fast response to technical issues via 24/7 remote diagnosis
- Guaranteed On Site Reaction: Expert field service technicians to be on site and in response within 4 hours for any fault reported. The service provider must demonstrate their capability to respond with their expert technicians and availability of spare parts.

Potential providers would need to meet the criteria above in order to participate in a pre-market engagement phase and move on to the full tender process. In order to gain further insight into the market for such a service and to generate interest amongst prospective bidders the Authority intend to gather expressions of interest through the In-Tend portal for the market engagement event at which participating organisations will be required to make a formal presentation. We anticipate the market engagement event to take place in February 2020. Prospective providers wishing to participate should in the first instance email samantha.walker@sheffield.ac.uk with the subject heading "District Heating Marketplace Engagement Event" by close of business 12/02/2020. Please attach a summary strictly for information of no more than 250 words outlining how your organisation will meet the initial requirements. Upon receipt of the expressions of interest, and the information only submissions, further details of the formal presentation and attendance instructions will be made available.
