Brief description:
This is an opportunity to work for a local authority with a large established legal team who are very forward thinking. Due to increase workloads an opportunity has arisen for a locum solicitor to come in and hit the ground running in this very busy but supportive team.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience specialising in and handling Public law child care matters preferably from a local authority prospective. The successful candidate must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of Public Law childcare matters. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team.
The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact.
