Description

Happy To Help CIC (HTH) is a social enterprise that has been established for the development and delivery of additional services to vulnerable tenants living in homes managed by Northampton Partnership Homes (NPH).

HTH is wholly owned by NPH who manage c11,400 properties on behalf of Northampton Borough Council . HTH has its own governing Board, the majority of whom are tenants. It is a not-for-profit Company which means that any income is re-investedinto providing services to vulnerable residents.

Current HTH services include:

• A foodbank
• Purchases of white goods and furniture for those in crisis
• Provision of a community grants fund
• A paint shop selling low cost paint to the community
• Provision of volunteering opportunities for tenants

NPH has a number of tenants who, for a variety of reasons, find themselves unable to continue to maintain their gardens as required by their tenancy agreements. Many of these gardens have become overgrown and unusable.

Recognising the need, NPH (via its social enterprise HTH) wishes to provide a gardening service to those vulnerable tenants. This will be delivered in two forms:
• For those tenants unable to maintain their garden and afford to have work done, HTH will contract the work to a third party
• Where tenants require the work but can afford to have this done themselves, the third party will be promoted to the tenant as a 'trusted trader'. The third party would provide the work at the same schedule of rates secured by HTH through the tender exercise
With this approach we hope to secure competitively priced bids from local organisations that are keen to grow both their business and reputation for customer service.
