Properties within the councils housing stock as identified could require structural alterations in order to comply with modern Homes Standards. Examples of such alterations include the taking out of existing pantry walls or the removal of other load bearing and/or non-load bearing internal walls / chimney breasts as required.
The budget for Year 1 has been set at £800,000.00 but this could be increased or decreased at any time by the client depending on works identified by housing.
The main points of the contract are: -
The contract is for a 1 year period with a possible 2 year extension at Bolsover District Council sole discretion (a further 2 year extension would be possible subject to contractor performance).
Failure to perform will result in termination of the contract.
The contract will be reviewed after 12-months and any price increases jointly agreed.
The tenant needs and requirements are paramount to the successful completion of this project.
The successful contractor will be expected to show flexibility, excellence in tenant support / liaison and work in partnership with the Contract Administrator / Building Surveyor to meet and exceed tenant expectation and levels of satisfaction.
