Description

The Energy and Environment Institute, part of the University of Hull is looking to purchase a new fully portable, shallow-water multibeam echosounder (MBES) survey system for deployment on small, near-shore survey vessels.

It is expected that this system will be mobilised on a variety of small vessels of opportunity and it will be used for a range of projects all over the world (e.g. Vietnam, Cambodia, Canada, USA etc.). The new system must therefore be easy to set-up, transport and mountable on customised over-the-side pole arrangements. The complete system must fit into a single transit case suitable for commercial airline check in.

The funding for this project has been provided by the European Research Council.
