Description

Moat are looking to implement a comprehensive mobile working solution, that will allow team members access to key data held within the core systems whilst they are working remotely. They need to be able to collect data whilst working remotely that is then seamlessly transferred to the back offices systems either immediately or once a mobile signal is restored.

Moat recognise that the requirements detailed in this specification may not be fulfilled by one provider and would welcome solutions proposed from either several vendors (e.g. packaged and system integrators), with one acting as the prime contractor; or bespoke solutions that are developed specifically to meet Moats requirements.

Based on Moat's analysis of each supplier's response, Moat reserves the right to award the tender in whole, in part, in part to multiple vendors or not at all.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the project are to select a mobile working solution which can meet the current and future needs of Moat.

The key principles for selecting a solution are.
It must allow data to be received and send information to Moat's back office systems immediately if a mobile signal is present. The system must be capable of working fully whilst no signal is present, sending data back to Moat's systems as soon as the signal is restored.
The system must be able to handle data conflicts that may occur when data collected off line is synced with the back office system's data.
It must be platform agnostic on mobile devices.
It must integrate fully with Moat's key systems and allow flexibility to connect to additional Moat systems introduced in the future.
It must interact with the workflows created in Moat's CRM system
It must demonstrate best practices for data security
It must allow bespoke forms to be created, implemented and integrated into the system by Moat staff without intervention from the supplier.
It must provide a model for security access to grant access to data and processes dependent upon job roles.
The system could offer the facilities to assist with the protection of lone workers.
The system could offer the facility to collect electronic payments from customers.
The system could offer the facility to assist in the geographical routing of staff with multiple appointments in a day.
