Description

The Public Health Division in Birmingham City Council is seeking to enhance community engagement and empowerment to improve vaccine uptake for the routine vaccination programme across the life course. We are seeking to commission up to four community partners to work in specific wards of the city to collaborate and develop community engagement with a view to increasing vaccination uptake.

Lot A - Ladywood, North Edgbaston, Edgbaston
Lot B - Sparkbrook and Balsall Heath East, Sparkhill, Small Heath
Lot C - Holyhead, Soho/Jewellery Quarter
Lot D - Alum Rock, Aston

Targeted Communities: Communities of heritage, Communities of Age/Experience, vaccine hesitant individuals/families, all ages to reflect life journey, Younger individuals/families regarding infant vaccinations, Adults/older adults regarding flu risk, Specialist clinical need groups and individuals/families considering travel/holidays.

Birmingham has generally witnessed lower vaccination uptake than the average across England, with the Covid-19 pandemic further decreasing these uptake levels.

The project is required to support ward level place-based engagement, empowerment, and connection to increase vaccination uptake across the life course.

This contract will be for a total of 4 months. This will involve a period of engagement activity from 13th June to 12th September 2022, plus a one-week period ending on 19th September 2022, during which you must produce and submit an evaluation report.

Tenderers may bid for one or more lots.
