Description
Elizabeth House is owned by EMH Homes and is a Sheltered Housing Scheme containing 47 Flats for over 55's. Therefore, there is a degree of vulnerability and an increase requirement for active fire protection. The scheme has an onsite coordinator who works Weekdays (COVID may have altered hours on site) and has an onsite office.
There is also a smaller scheme on the same site called Windsor House. This also, houses over 55's and is managed by the same coordinator. There is no common area or onsite office to this block. There is a BS5839-1 L1 fire alarm system on site, this is currently a standalone system, independent to Elizabeth connected by zone monitors and needs to be part of the same system for full fire and fault monitoring. As part of the upgrade a repeater panel needs to be installed linked and integrated to Elizabeth House.
It is also imperative that front communal doors on both schemes are linked into the fire alarm panel and failsafe open on the activation of the fire alarm.
