Description

The programme of work covers both equality issues, i.e. whether particular groups have been disproportionately affected by the welfare and social security reforms and the welfare to work programmes and if so in what ways, and human rights issues, i.e. what impact the reforms have on the standard of living of individuals and groups. Aims of current project This project consists of a literature review of the quantitative and qualitative evidence which examines the impact on different protected groups of: Government welfare and budget decisions National and local implementation and delivery arrangements for changes to welfare benefits Welfare to work programmes usually delivered through Jobcentre Plus To supplement the literature review, the selected contractor will be expected to interview selected stakeholders and to organise a workshop for academic and policy experts. Topic coverage We wish the selected contractor to cover the following welfare benefits and welfare to work programmes as a minimum: Carers' Allowance Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment Employment and Support Allowance Housing Benefit Incapacity Benefit Income Support Job Seeker's Allowance Pension Support Universal Credit Work Choice
