Description
The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (The Council) operates a fleet of approximately 500 road going vehicles comprising of cars, small vans, mini buses, tippers, road sweepers, refuse collection vehicles.
The Council is seeking a to appoint one or more (to a maximum of four) Contractor(s)(s) to provide a repair service for :
LOT 1 - Vehicles up to and including 5,000kg GVW
LOT 2 - Heavy vehicles over 5,000kg and up to 44,000kg GVW.
Contractors must be aware that LOT 1 will include Long Wheel Base vans and minibuses that can be approx. 3 mtrs high and 7mtrs long. Contractors must have sufficient space (i.e. spray booth size) to cater for this size.
The annual expenditure for this service is estimated to be circa £80,000 based on previous expenditure. This value should be only used to indicate possible levels of business for this contract. The Council cannot guarantee any particular volume of business to any Contractor(s).
The contract will be awarded initially for a three year period; the Council reserves the right to extend for a further 1 year period. The extension is subject to quality of service and price remaining acceptable to the Council. The maximum contract period is 4 years.
Prices are to be fixed for the initial 12 months and may be reviewed at the12 month point. Price increases (if agreed), will be in line with confirmed annual CPI figures.
The contract is envisaged to commence on or soon after 1st July 2020.
The Council will use the rates submitted by Contractor(s) to select the lowest price for the type of vehicle required when selecting a Contractor(s) for an ad-hoc repair request.
