Description

DIT's Sports Economy Team plans to roll out a programme of activity (briefings, trade missions, conferences etc), starting in the West Midlands, to help educate and upskill UK companies, particularly SMEs, to understand, explore, and pursue export opportunities arising from major sporting events and Expos held outside of the UK over the next 10-15 years.

The requirement is for research that will:
- Enable UK companies to understand the value, size and scope of the major sports events and Expos marketplace, the future calendar of sporting events to 2034 (including indications of bidders for events not yet awarded), as well as the nature, make up and structure of the following sporting events/Expos and other major regional (eg Asian) and sub-regional (eg SE Asian) level sports events taking place over the next 15 years

- Provide UK companies with best practice advice and guidance on the actions/preparations they as individual companies need to take in preparing to pursue opportunities and to be successful

- Provide an outline programme, including suggested speakers and what each would cover, for a physical (or virtual depending on Covid-19) seminar to be held in late March 2021 or the first half of April 2021, to upskill West Midlands based UK companies on major sporting events and Expos

The contract shall be for a period of two (2) months.

The full specification is provided with the tender and contract documents located in DIT's e-sourcing portal, Jaggaer.
