Description

'The London Borough of Ealing for itself and on behalf of the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Islington is seeking to invite competitive tenders for: 1. A single supplier framework for the reactive and planned preventative maintenance of the CCTV assets; 2. A multiple supplier framework for the future supply of CCTV equipment and associated infrastructure works. The requirement will include Public Space Community Safety CCTV, Housing CCTV, Traffic / Parking Enforcement CCTV and associated equipment/services. Prospective bidders will be required to have a track record of providing CCTV maintenance and infrastructure projects in similar public sector environments. Additionally as the works will need to be carried out in public areas and near the highway, bidders will be asked about their experience of working in similar environments. The aims of this project. There are three aims for this project: To ensure CCTV systems remain fit for purpose and operational for the use of all stakeholders; By expanding and upgrading our CCTV system, we aim to build a CCTV service capable of delivering on the commitments made by the Council to residents, visitors and employees of the borough; To enhance and increase the capacity of the systems to deliver better services to our existing CCTV users and to allow the Enforcement of traffic contraventions. The Project Objectives. The objectives of the project are as follows: To ensure all CCTV assets are maintained to fulfil their operational requirement, at their optimum performance and within the required legislative parameters; To install and operate the most modern leading edge, efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly CCTV systems that will be seen as a reference point for others in this field; To achieve alignment and integration of need for all our stakeholders and other third party providers or consumers as required. Requirements: Whilst we are unable at this stage of the procurement process to provide detailed specifications, prospective bidders must be able to demonstrate a track record of the following: Maintaining CCTV systems including various camera technologies, transmission systems (IP wireless, fibre) various command and control systems and digital recording systems; Planning, installing and commissioning CCTV systems and infrastructure in similar public sector environments utilising various transmission and camera technologies; Integrating new CCTV systems into existing CCTV infrastructures similar to those described previously; Undertaking, Civil engineering works, works at height and works in listed buildings in similar public sector environment; System testing and commissioning and the development of operational and maintenance materials for similar facilities within a public sector environment.'
