Description
Waltham Forest Council (LBWF) is seeking applications from event caretaking specialists to support with public and private events across the borough. The contract holder will be the exclusive supplier of event caretaking services at Fellowship Square, and preferred supplier for event caretaking services at LBWF affiliated events across the borough.
At the heart of LBWF's cultural offer is Fellowship Square which opened in 2021 and since then has firmly rooted itself as a cultural centre for the borough. It has been used for a range of community activities and larger-scale events, including Waltham Forest Pride and performances for the London Community Gospel Choir. At the centre of the square is a 144 Multi-Jet water fountain with light and sound features, creating a new performance venue in the centre of the Borough to showcase local talent and creativity. Current projects include the launch of Walthamstow Assembly Hall and a Civic Food Hall site, with expectations that Fellowship Square activations will increase alongside these projects.
The contract holder will need to provide first class event caretaking services and offer a high level of customer service for all our visitors. Underpinning their practice must be a high standard of health & safety. Events will range from large outdoor festivals to smaller internal wedding ceremonies. Event Caretaking requirements will range from live music event crews, stewards, hosts, registration staff, ushers, supervisors and door supervisors that will need the appropriate manual handing, risk assessment, customer care, DBS and First Aid qualifications and training.
