Description

Reed in Partnership intends to bid for the forthcoming Activity Hubs tenders, commissioned by HM Prisons and Probation Service and European Social Fund, due to be released in mid-April 2020. Delivery will commence in January 2021, with all outcomes delivered by the end of August 2023.
The Activity Hub programme is voluntary, and is to support unemployed or economically inactive offenders in the community, who are either serving a community sentence or are under supervision on licence. Participants should also be a UK resident, and aged 18+, with a focus on specific priority groups, including BAME, women, those with disabilities/health conditions, those aged 50+ and ex-service personnel.
The Hub programme will have dual aims: to increase participant's effective engagement with mainstream or core services; and to encourage their participation in activities to assist individuals to lead law abiding lives. Hubs should represent a safe space where participants can, and importantly want to, engage in a range of activity. Hubs will be placed in communities and involve local organisations to increase participant engagement and integration, and offer tailored support for offenders - particularly those who are considered disadvantaged, face multiple barriers to employment and those that are not engaged or supported by existing programmes. The purpose of the Hub will be to assist Participants not to re-offend, alongside the key aim of ESF to move individuals closer to the labour market.
Reed in Partnership is intending to bid for this contract in the following six regions:
East of England; East Midlands; London; North East; West Midlands; and Yorkshire.
We are seeking expressions of interest from a range of local, specialist partners to deliver engaging activities to offenders within the Activity Hubs, and/or providers of Hub premises.
Please note: Requirements of this contract may change once the final bidding documents are released by HMPPS, and we will update all providers on this.
