Description

KCC is looking to appoint a company to help run Kentchoices live 2016, a 2 day interactive careers event for young people and the general public. Our experience is that people who have contact with a range of employers and clear information about the options available make better choices, are more employable and less likely to be unemployed. Kentchoices live seeks to support this process. The event will be run on 16/17 March 2016. The focus of day 1 will be inspiring young people about the range of careers available to them through a range of interactive activities, guidance and information stands. Day 2 will have the same focus but in addition will have jobs available to the county's job seekers. Bidders should be committed to support KCC, the county's young people and unemployed. We are seeking a bidder committed to developing the people and economy of Kent rather than just a contractor. Bidders should have · Experience of running large scale careers/employment events. · Good links to local and national businesses · Knowledge of the Kent economy · Connections with schools and other training providers in the county · The desire to go above and beyond normal service in support of the county of Kent.
