Description

Worcestershire County Council invite suitable, qualified and experienced Building Contractors to tender for the design and construction of a new Hub building for the Malvern Technology Park.

The Building will function as a publicly accessible focal entrance building for the future Employment land adjacent as well as a reception / access point for the Qinetiq site. The building will house Office space, reception, café and secure office facilities at ground floor, with flexible conferencing / meeting facilities at first floor.
There will be hard landscaping required to provide a secure vehicular entrance to the wider Qinetiq site and the installation of new fencing. Accessible parking to be provided with electric charging points. Hard and Soft landscaping. All as defined within the Contract Drawings and Documents included in Appendix A.
The Contractor will be responsible for satisfying themselves as to the accuracy of any reports and will be responsible for the integrity of the structure and systems covered by the surveys.
Contractors will be expected to provide priced Bills of Quantities
Optional works comprise an access road.

To ascertain the nature of the site, access thereto and all local conditions and restrictions likely to affect the execution of the Works.

Form of Contract: The contract: JCT Standard Building Contract Without Quantities, 2016 Edition.

Tenderers may submit alternatives as options and should submit plans, elevations, specs etc where they differ from the Tender Docs. Evaluation will be completed on original Tender requirements

All tenders submitted must be fully compliant.

All tender documents must be uploaded to the portal by the due date as late returns will not be accepted.

Award of Contract: Commercial 70% Quality 30%

Tenders and supporting documents shall be in English and any contract subsequently entered in to shall be subject to English Law.

Please note that the Supplier is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for the preparation of the tender submission. All cost, expenses and liabilities incurred by the Supplier in connection with the preparation of their submission, the Form of Tender and Pricing Schedule shall be borne by the Supplier.

No tender can be considered to be accepted until such time as the particular tenderer has been notified. If a tender is accepted there will not be a contract until the Authority's offer has been accepted by the tenderer.

Worcestershire County Council reserve the right not to award a contract in full or in part.
